MOBI 2010 Best Mobile Branding Finalist: Myxer for Geico

Myxer, one of the most recognized brands in mobile entertainment, partnered with GEICO, one of the most recognized brands in insurance, to mobilize the widely loved GECKO character and extend a highly successful TV campaign into the real world via mobile content. GEICO’s popular “ringtone” commercials feature several catchy and humorous ringtones, but the ringtones weren’t really easily available across all handsets and carriers. The objective of the Myxer campaign (which is ongoing) is to sustain awareness and increase consideration of the GEICO brand by driving engagement through both the downloading and sharing of GEICO Ringtones and mobile wallpapers, including actual content from their TV campaigns. In addition, all of GEICO’s branded mobile content is delivered in a branded environment that directs web and mobile web traffic to GEICO’s e-commerce and mobile commerce sites.
