Technology meets art in The New York Times' Times Reader 2.0 from Adobe Systems. What engineers and designers have done is no less than reformat the news to fit a more technology-friendly reader. But defining what they've done isn't the same as seeing it. Unlike the clunky, text-bound readers of the past, this new version is so unobtrusive to the consumer as to appear ethereal. Controls are intuitive, to be sure, but so is the content, giving readers a whole week's worth of information to sift through, read, watch or browse, as interest dictates and time allows. We think it will turn the Grey Lady read.
